Legal
Spending
This site may amount to local non-party campaigning in a UK parliamentary by-election. We follow the Electoral Commission's rules for that.
What we spend
Reform Watch Ltd campaigns here as a non-party campaigner, within the £700 per-constituency limit set by the Electoral Commission for campaigning for or against a candidate in a UK parliamentary by-election. Whatever the Electoral Commission says on non-party campaigner spending, that's what we follow.
Donations we receive go toward this regulated £700 spend. Beyond that, the campaign runs on volunteer time: we are organising leaflet drops across Clacton over the coming weeks with volunteers giving their time for free.
Records and audit
Underlying invoices and receipts are retained for as long as required by electoral, accounting and legal rules, and are available for inspection by the Electoral Commission on request.
